Q: What should I wear to the conference?
A: Professional attire is preferred. This includes: collared shirts, ties, dress pants, professional length skirts and necklines, etc. You will be interacting with health care professionals from the community and individuals from your future school, so you want to make a polished and put together first impression!
Q: Can I register the day of the conference?
A: No, you will not be able to register at the door. Space is limited, therefore registration ends two days prior to the conference to ensure we can make preparations to accommodate all attendees. Please be advised early registration is highly encouraged.
Q: I am not an SDSU student. Can I attend the conference?
A: Yes! Anybody interested in a pre-professional health career is welcome. This includes students who attend other universities, junior colleges, or even high schools. Please see the registration page for ticket categories to select the proper registration.
Q: Where should I park?
A: There will be a designated section for our Aztec Pre-Health Conference attendees. Parking will be free of charge and more information will be provided closer to the conference date.
Q: Will there be a vegetarian option served for breakfast and lunch?
A: Yes, we will provide Vegetarian/Gluten-Free options during both breakfast and lunch.
Q: What if my schedule does not permit attendance of the entire conference, will I be able to check in at anytime?
A: Yes, you can check in at any time during the day. However, if you arrive in the middle of a workshop or speaker, you will be asked to wait until the current session ends and the new session begins.
Q: Are there any materials I need to bring with me the day of the conference?
A: No, all of the materials you will need during the conference will be provided to you. If you prefer you may bring your own personal materials, such as a pen and paper to take notes, but it will not be necessary.
Q: Can I bring a laptop, tablet, or other electronic devices?
A: We will provide you with everything you need the day of the conference. Please do not bring a laptop or a tablet. Cell phones are permitted, however we prefer they are off or on silent during the conference out of respect for the speakers and other attendees. If you must use your phone, please quietly do so outside.
Q: Can I attend all the workshops? How does it work?
A: Unfortunately, you cannot attend all the workshops. The conference would have to be a two-day extravaganza for that! You will be able to attend three workshops. During each rotation, you will get to choose which of the workshops being offered at that time you would like to attend. It's best to get there early and plan ahead!
Q: What kind of interviews will be held at the conference?
A: We do not have one-on-one interviews at the conference. We do have an Admissions Panel Workshop with multiple universities from multiple disciplines that students can attend to have a Q&A session. Additionally, you will have a chance to speak directly with all schools at the Graduate School and Volunteer Fair in the afternoon.
Q: What is the Graduate School and Volunteer Fair?
A: The Graduate School and Volunteer Fair is held at the end of our conference. It is an opportunity for students to walk around and check out the many different health professions schools and/or graduate programs, as well as, talk to admissions representatives of these respected institutions. Volunteer organizations will also be present to allow students to explore the multiple opportunities to get involved in the community and abroad!
Q: Are there refunds if I am unable to make it after purchasing my ticket?
A: We understand unplanned events may arise. Refunds will be made on a case-by-case basis up to one week prior to the conference. During the week leading up to the conference, there will be no refunds after a ticket purchase-no exceptions.

A: Of course! Everyone who attends the conference must have registered online so we may better accommodate you. All are welcomed and encouraged to join us!
